Turning Off v6.8 Menu Handling in v2004-Mac
Date: 09-02-10
From: Steven Prins <sprins1102_at_aol.com>
Good morning all.
I seem to recall a thread on this matter some time ago. But I have not been able to track it down.
In the reference documents of v2004 it suggests that menus created with and imported from older versions of 4D may inherit v6.8 behavior, i.e. automatic insertion of the Edit menu when the menu bar is displayed in the Runtime environment. To alleviate this behavior, v2004 is reported to include a button on the Menu Editor page of the Tool Box that allows the designer to toggle this behavior on/off. However, running v.2004.7 on a Mac OSX 10.5, there is no button on my Menu Editor page. Nor could I find a related preference.
Am I missing something? Or is this a familiar bug/error in documentation? And is there an established work around? Can it be fixed without disposing of the old menu bar altogether?
Thanks in advance for any assistance. Sorry if I have missed something obvious, again...
